On August 19, 2004 Google had its Initial Public Stock Offering. The New York Times proclaimed the $27 billion valuation as "bubbly". It's interesting to note that today, Wednesday, July 14, 2010, Google's market cap is far bigger than that. Shortly after Google's IPO, realizing the once in a generation opportunity that search engine marketing (SEM) presented, our company was founded to provide SEM tools and services.
