AWS’s AI-DLC Transformation with Loka
Loka's Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team works alongside your engineers to deliver a real use case using AWS's AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC). By applying AI coding agents to your actual codebase and workflows, Loka helps shorten development cycles, resolve production blockers, and improve delivery. Your team gets working software, measurable results, and the methodology and tools to continue independently.

Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) means Loka's senior engineers work directly with your team on your codebase and in your environment. They solve production blockers alongside your engineers, rather than delivering recommendations from the sidelines.
AWS's AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) applies spec-driven, agent-based development to the software lifecycle. Requirements become executable specifications, and coding agents such as Kiro, Claude Code or Codex support construction while your team maintains oversight of quality and delivery.
Combined: Loka applies AI-DLC to one real use case with your team, takes it through production, and transfers the methodology and supporting assets so your team can continue using it independently.

How It Works
1 week before
(Discovery session)
One 30-minute call where we map your team's tool preference (ex: Kiro, Claude Code, Codex or any other you work with), shortlist 2–3 candidate use cases to explore on Day 1, and confirm access prerequisites. Your team prepares nothing, we handle the environment.
Day 1
(Foundation)
The morning opens with organizational discovery, your AI goals, current bottlenecks, and where teams are already experimenting. Use cases surface from that conversation, not a pre-set agenda. The afternoon runs hands-on: active and passive context, plugins, skills, and guardrails, all in a managed sandbox. Every participant, regardless of their role, leaves Day 1 understanding how AI-native delivery actually works. No experience required.
Evening of Day 1
(Working dinner)
Loka and your leadership align on which use cases to pursue, what funding paths are available, and what the next 6 months look like.
Day 2
(Applied)
Day 2 takes what Day 1 surfaced and builds it. Your teams take two real use cases - chosen through Day 1 discovery, and run them hackathon-style with Loka mentors. Engineers build while product managers spec, compliance validates guardrails and operations maps workflows. The day closes with a leadership readout and a clear recommended next step.
Who Is This For?
CTOs and Engineering VPs ready to see AI-DLC work in practice, not in a slide deck
SMB and enterprise engineering teams
Teams that want to see real velocity before committing to a longer production engagement
Full value requires CEO, CTO, CMO, and technical leads in the room - not just the engineering team.
What You Leave With
Deployed working code
Your sprint's code built, tested, and deployed to a dev environment before you leave the room.
Your velocity proof
A documented before-vs-after comparison: what the sprint was projected to take versus what your team actually shipped. Leadership-ready, not a slide deck.
Your AI-DLC artifact set
Every spec, skill, context file, and guardrail built during the workshop - versioned in your repository, owned entirely by your team. No ongoing dependency on Loka.
