Over the last 15 years Sushmitha has worked as Data Architect and Data Product Lead at Cleveland Clinic and several healthtech startups in Silicon Valley. At Loka she supports HCLS customers with a focus on Data, Analytics and ML.

Holding a PhD in Bioengineering from MIT & NOVA, Jorge leads the BioAI and Bioinformatics Engineering teams at Loka, bringing eight years of experience in Bioengineering and drug Discovery. Before joining Loka, Jorge worked as a Senior Scientist at Novartis, focusing on antibody Discovery and engineering.

Jonathan is a Tech Lead for HCLS who brings his deep technical background to support business-focused solutions. Before joining Loka, he worked with Life Sciences customers building Data and AI platforms for Deloitte and was a HCLS Customer Solutions Manager for AWS.

With a Master's in Bioengineering and a background in AI applied to drug discovery, Maria bridges life sciences and machine learning to accelerate healthcare innovation. As a Machine Learning Engineer at Loka, she works with biotech and pharma companies to deploy AI solutions across the drug development pipeline. A Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, she was the only young Portuguese participant selected for the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos 2026, where she discussed AI's impact in health and the workforce with world leaders.

With a PhD spanning organic chemistry, molecular modeling, and machine learning, Julián bridges life sciences and AI to translate complex scientific challenges into practical solutions across biomolecular modeling and drug discovery. Prior to joining Loka, he worked in academia and at Novartis, focusing on target identification of complex natural products.
