The situation

Lia is a digital health platform that supports the psychological wellbeing of surgical patients. By leveraging AI voice agents, virtual care coordinators and predictive algorithms, Lia streamlines the presurgical consultation process to enable a more positive surgical experience for patients, payers and providers alike.

The challenge

Millions of surgeries every year. Billions of dollars spent on 
pre-op evaluations. Endless administrative paperwork that stalls necessary, often life-saving procedures. The pre-op space is ripe for transformation, and Lia is making it happen.

Lia came to Loka for help in two distinct areas: They wanted to accelerate their market entry and needed to build AI-enhanced tools into a SaaS platform.
